An Extremely Rare and Handsome Mahagony Cased Grandfather Clock by William and Caleb Nichols of  Birmingham, England. The good quality time and strike movement fitted with a "true" enamel dial. This is the clock shown on page 16 of  Brian Loomes' book "The First Painted Dial Clocks." Fewer than half a dozen these "enamel" dials are thought to have been made.
